What this website collects

Nothing about you. The website has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies and no sign-in. It does not ask you for any personal information.

Like any website, the servers that deliver it may keep standard access logs, such as the time of a request and the address it came from. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

The web app

The web app at jamwise.net/app/ works without an account. What you create in it (songs, riffs, your practice sheet, settings and Learn progress) is saved in your browser's local storage on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your site data removes it.

Signing in is optional and uses Google. If you sign in, we receive your email address and basic profile details from Google through Amazon Cognito, and your songs, riffs, practice sheet, settings and Learn progress are stored with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt (eu-central-1) so they can sync between your devices. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in itself.

To draw some musical symbols, such as the sharp and flat signs, the web app may load a font from Google (fonts.gstatic.com). That request goes to Google and includes your IP address.

The web app has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Account deletion is currently done in the JamWise mobile app.
